FS21 Productive Partnerships Exercise 2: Drawing Strategies from Regenerative Agriculture
For this one-week exercise, part of the Productive Partnerships MScLA Foundation Studio II FS21, students explored in-depth a particular system of regenerative agriculture, learning from contemporary and historical practices and current research in agroforestry, rotational grazing, intensive vegetable production, no-till and crop rotation, polyculture, and orchards.
Through a rigorous process of translation from the field of agriculture to the field of landscape architecture, they sought to draw specific practices in dialogue with these topics as a system, where the definition of its key parameters turns to be the tool for design.
