Cartographies of Living Systems FS21: Modified Trees
For this assignment included in the Cartographies of Living Systems FS21 Course, the students selected and redraw three well-known paintings from which they could read, from the shape of the tree, its response to possible external modifications as the repetitive pruning for productive or aesthetic purposes, break of branches, accidental fall of the tree, or stress.
This lecture and translation of the trees resulted into alternative diagrams that integrate and reveal these processes.
